About us
Murkiernode is an independent recording studio on Van Boetzelaerstraat — since 2019 a steady base for vocals, bands, mix, master and podcast in Amsterdam-West.
A studio built for playing together
We kept the layout straightforward: musicians hear each other in the live room, vocalists get calm in the booth and the control room is tuned so what you hear matches what goes online later. No rotating freelancers: the engineer who writes your quote usually sits at the desk.
Projects range from demos and singles to podcast series and vocal edits. Whatever it is, we start with a short brief and finish with files you can use yourself.
The rooms
Live room — 38 m²
High enough for drums and amps, a floor that works with cables and standing positions. Up to 6 players at once, each with a separate headphone mix.
Vocal booth — 10 m²
Treated booth for singing, rap, voice-over and dubbing. Mic choice and pop filter are ready; you focus on performance.
Control room — 22 m²
Console, studio monitors and sight into the live room. Takes are chosen, edits made and mixes agreed here.

Getting here and hours
Van Boetzelaerstraat 35, 1051 DT Amsterdam (Westerpark). Tram 13 or bus 18 to Surinameplein, then about seven minutes on foot via Van Hallstraat; bike rack next to the entrance.
