What we focus on
Murkiernode is built around playing and listening together: a live room for up to 6 musicians, a booth for vocals and a control room where decisions are audible. We book by the hour or in blocks, depending on what the song needs.
We read every request ourselves. Within 2 working days you hear back with a proposal, pricing from our published rates and room to ask questions via contact or the FAQ.

Three rooms under one roof in Westerpark
Our live room (38 m²), vocal booth (10 m²) and control room (22 m²) sit in a former warehouse on Van Boetzelaerstraat. Tram 13 or bus 18 to Surinameplein, then about seven minutes on foot via Van Hallstraat; bike rack next to the entrance.

A vocal studio hour starts at €89; band sessions from €385 per half day. All amounts are on services with excl. and incl. VAT.

Band projects are more than studio hours alone — mix, revisions and mastering add up too. At Murkiernode up to 6 players fit our 38 m² live room. This guide pairs with band recording and helps you estimate a fair total before you book.
Delivering stems for mixing: format, levels and naming
A mix starts with files that line up. When you supply tracks yourself, we charge mix from supplied stems at €420 per title, with 2 revision rounds included. This guide avoids delays in our Amsterdam control room.

How fast do you reply to a request?
Usually within 2 working days with a date proposal and written quote. If you are on a deadline, call us and mention it.
What does a vocal hour cost?
A studio hour is €89 incl. VAT; a four-hour block is €320. Band and podcast have their own rates on services.
How much deposit is required?
25 % of the quoted amount after acceptance. Cancelling within 5 days of the session triggers a 50 % fee; see terms and conditions.
Do you deliver files afterwards?
Yes: working files as agreed (usually WAV), plus mix or master when booked. We archive for 12 months, then delete unless you ask for an extension.
Can I record in the evening?
Weekdays until 21:00 and Saturday until 17:00, by appointment only. Mon–Fri 09:00–21:00 · Sat 10:00–17:00 — check contact for availability.
